Winter Adventure on Lake Tuusulanjärvi
The winter gem of Lake Tuusulanjärvi is its scenic ice-skating trail, which, when conditions are good, can take you all the way to Järvenpää. Our ice adventure begins on modern kick sleds, specially designed for use on the ice.
Touring skates are also available as an alternative. Either way, you’ll cover some ground while the scenery changes around you!
For those looking for a more sporty experience, the full-length route offers up to 14 km of skating and sledding.
Those who prefer a more leisurely pace can stop to admire sights such as Halosenniemi, while the guide shares stories about the artists of Finland’s Golden Age who once lived and worked along these shores.
The tour price includes a kick sled or touring skates that attach to your own shoes, as well as ice picks for each participant.
Touring skates that attach to your own shoes require high-cut, stiff boots that provide good lateral support for the ankle.
We also have boot-style touring skates available. If you would like to use these on the tour, boot sizes must be confirmed in advance.
If you have your own cross-country skate-ski boots (NNN or SNS bindings), we recommend bringing them along.
